In this talk, we propose a mathematical model for the drying process of a generic textile material using heated cylinders, operating under low pressure conditions. This research is carried out within the  ECO2WASH project, which focuses on the development of a carbon dioxide–based industrial washing machine. The model is derived and adapted from the work of Ceptis et al. [1], originally developed in the context of paper drying. The adaptation accounts for the different thermo-physical properties of the material, the specific operating conditions, and the geometry of the system. The resulting system of equations, including mass and energy balances, is solved numerically using classical methods as well as Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs). Numerical results obtained for the model validation will also be presented.
