A reinforced shuttle service with special buses will operate between Piazza Oberdan and SISSA, and vice versa, during peak hours (mornings to SISSA and late afternoons back to the city center). See Special Services below for details.

A regular public bus service is available through Trieste Trasporti with bus #38, running every 20 minutes throughout the day in both directions, stopping directly at the main SISSA gate (check here for the precise timetable ). You can also take bus #4, which stops at Obelisco in Opicina; from there, it’s a 700-meter downhill walk along Via Bonomea Alta. (precise timetable here)

Another scenic option is the historic Trieste–Opicina tram, which also stops at Obelisco, followed by the same 700-meter downhill walk to SISSA. While this option takes longer, it offers beautiful views and a unique historical experience (precise timetable here).

Of course, you can also take a taxi (RADIOTAXI: +39 040 307 730) or come with your own car. A limited number of parking spaces are available in the SISSA underground garage. If you wish to use this option, please contact the secretariat by email to request a parking permit for campus access.
