Nowadays, the necessity of efficient surrogate models plays a central role in solving complex problems in various scientific and technological fields, e.g., to solve inverse problems, for data assimilation or real-time monitoring. In this talk, I will speak about a new technology called "Variational Mimetic Operator Networks" (VarMiON) to predict the outcome of a heat equation, which exploits the physical-mathematical model to define the network structure. Moreover, I will explain how VarMiON can be used to solve more complex coupled problems arising in thermal applications.
